Priorly

Questions, answered

What Priorly does, what it can see in your store, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Install Priorly
What does Priorly record?
Every change to your products, collections, pages and blog articles: which field changed, what it held before, what it holds now, and when. It starts recording the moment it is installed — it cannot show you a version from before that, because nobody kept one.
What can the app see in my store?
Products and content, read and write. Nothing else: no customers, no orders, no payment details, no staff accounts. The write permission exists for one reason — putting a version back when you ask it to.
How far back does the history go?
30 days on the free plan, 90 on Basic, 365 on Advanced. Recording is identical on all three; the plan decides how long what was recorded is kept.
Can I put back one field instead of the whole product?
Yes. You choose what goes back — a price, a description, one collection — and everything you did not choose is left exactly as it is.
What happens to the version that is live now?
It goes into the history like any other. A restore is itself a change, so it can be undone the same way, and the version you replaced is still there tomorrow.
What if Priorly missed a change?
It tells you. When something could not be captured — a notification from Shopify that never arrived, a permission removed for a while — the timeline shows a gap with the window it covers and the reason for it, instead of leaving a quiet stretch that looks like nothing happened.
Does it change anything in my store on its own?
No. Nothing is written to your catalog unless you press restore. Left alone it only reads and records.
What happens to my history if I uninstall?
It stays, so a reinstall inside your retention window gets it back. Shopify then sends an erase request 48 hours after the uninstall, and that removes everything belonging to the shop — every version, gap and restore. If you want to keep the record itself, take it before you uninstall: on Advanced, the whole catalog as it stood at any moment, as CSV or JSON. That file is yours and the erase does not touch it.

A bug that got in your way, a feature that ought to exist, or a question the pages here did not answer.
